The lawyer for the man at the core of the Maple Leaf Gardens sex abuse scandal says Gordon Stuckless should get a prison sentence of 5 years for his crimes.
And Ari Goldkind told the court that takes into account credit for time spent under house arrest.
Stuckless pleaded guilty to 100 charges related to the sexual abuse of nearly 20 boys decades ago, and was convicted on a pair of other charges.
Stuckless continues to undergo chemical castration, and Ari Goldkind has argued Stuckless has not re-offended since his release.
The Crown has asked for a twelve-year sentence.
Earlier this week, Stuckless read an apology in court. Some of his victims called his words “meaningless and empty.”
