30-year-old Ottawa teacher Jessica Beraldin (pictured) was charged last week with sexual assault, sexual exploitation and making sexually explicit material available to a child.
These charges stem from a sexual relationship between Beraldin and a student that occurred when she was teaching Grade 7 to 9 students at Mother Teresa High School.
After a few quick Google searches, you’ll easily discover dozens of other instances where teachers have mixed it up sexually with their students.
Do you remember this sort of thing happening back when you were in school? Why are these stories being reported more often now? Does social media play a role in all of this?
