The Peel District School Board has cancelled all student group organized trips to Europe in light of the recent terror attacks.
There are four high schools who have been preparing for trips and the board has cancelled three of them and refunded the students who have already paid.
One of the schools is Woodlands Secondary School in Mississauga that was planning to travel to the Czech Republic and Austria on Friday with a group of 70 students.
Also, Rick Hanson Secondary in Mississauga was going to travel to Brussels on Thursday, April 14th and another school affected is Mayfield Secondary in Caledon that had 80 students set to travel to Italy on Friday, April 15th.
ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attacks in Brussels on Tuesday, March 22nd that killed 35 people when bombs went off at the airport and a subway station. They also say they are responsible for the attacks in Paris back on November 13th, 2015 that killed 130 people.
