It’s been confirmed that a state trooper injured in an earlier shooting a bus station in Richmond Virginia has died after suffering multiple gunshot wounds in the attack.
According to police, two civilians were also injured when a gunman opened fire at the Greyhound terminal, just west of the city’s downtown area.
It was confirmed earlier that the gunman was shot dead by two other troopers at the scene.
The deceased trooper has been identified as Chad Dermyer by Virginia State Police Superintendent Col. Steven Flaherty.
There is word yet on a motive for the attack.
Greyhound has issued a statement saying that the Richmond, Virginia, station would be “closed until further notice.”
