Two Toronto residents have been arrested and charged in relation to shooting in Parkdale last week.
According to Toronto police, they were called to a home in the area of Queen Street West and Lansdowne Avenue in the early hours of Saturday, March 26th.
It’s alleged that suspects fired shots through the door of an apartment in an attempt to force their way in.
An occupant of the apartment was hit by one of the bullets and suffered non life threatening injuries as a result.
An investigation was launched and on Thursday, March 31st, police executed a search warrant in the area of Dundas Street West and Runnymede Road.
During that search a .45 calibre handgun (pictured) was seized along with a quantity of ammunition and an unknown amount of both marijuana and cocaine.
29 year old Sheldon Grant and 30 year old Tabitha Elliot are now facing 12 charges including carrying a concealed weapon, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and drug possession charges.
Grant is also facing a charge of pointing a firearm and and two prohibition order offences.
Both were scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, March 31st.
