Toronto police are investigating after vandals broke into the Etobicoke Civic Centre and caused significant damage to the building and it’s contents.
Police were called to the scene near Burnhamthorpe Road and The East Mall at around 4.a.m on Tuesday morning, for a break and enter.
Several windows were smashed, with photos from the scene showing computer monitors and office chairs lying among the debris, while a fire extinguisher was also discharged inside the building.
Five city vehicles were also damaged in the deliberate act of vandalism.
Police say officers been at the site all day and there is no word yet on any suspects.
They are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Meanwhile, the act has been condemned by both Councillor Mark Grimes and Mayor John Tory.
