It appears many residents in Scarborough are in agreement with Mayor Tory’s plan to build a one-stop subway along with an above-level light-rail train.
A new Forum Research Poll found that 58% approve of the idea.
The plan would be to extend the subway connection between Kennedy Station and Scarborough Town Centre with an LRT that connects Malvern Town Centre to the furthest point east of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.
There are 59% of the residents in Scarborough who approve of the plan and 33 % who are opposed.
There are also 8% who have no opinion.
Across the city of Toronto there are 27% who disapprove of the new plan with 14% that have no comment.
