It appears changes are coming to the Senate.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced Friday the names of seven people he will recommend for the Senate.
They include Justice Murray Sinclair who led the Truth and Reconciliation commission, Frances Lankin, a minister in the former Ontario NDP government and Paralympian Chantal Petitclerc.

The Senators would fill two vacancies in Manitoba, three in Ontario and two in Quebec.
Trudeau has also called on Peter Harder , a retired senior bureaucrat to be the Liberal government’s leader in the Senate.
