All eyes will be on the Ontario Superior Court today as it decides whether to grant a terminally ill man an assisted death.
The case involves an 80 year old married grandfather who suffers from lymphoma. He was diagnosed in 2012.
Court documents say the man who has lived a “wonderful and exciting life” is currently bed-ridden and in unbearable pain.
He has asked to die from a single lethal injection.
Both the federal and provincial governments have said they will not oppose the man’s wish for an assisted death.
