A fire at a City of Toronto works yard in the east end of the city has caused damage in the region of $5 to $10 million dollars.
That’s according to Toronto police, who confirmed in a tweet on Tuesday morning that the blaze at the facility on Ellesmere Road, west of Midland Avenue was brought under control shortly after 3.a.m.
Crews are still said to be battling hot spots on the roof however.
The Scarborough building houses maintenance vehicles, with training and administration facilities also on site.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is now under investigation.
