Amazing ruling: A couple who had split with a now 8-year-old daughter spent 3.5 years in court for custody of the child. The husband wanted to settle it between them from the get-go, but the wife disagreed and they took it to court. $500,000 later, their child traumatized, the courts finally made a decision. The father gained full custody.
An enraged Ontario Superior Court Justice Alex Pazaratz asked “How did this happen? How does this keep happening? What will it take to convince angry parents that nasty and aggressive litigation never turns out well?”
