Rob Ford is back in hospital as he continues his battle with a rare form of cancer.
Speaking to Kelly Cutrara on AM640 on Wednesday afternoon, Rob’s brother Doug confirmed that he was admitted to Mount Sinai Hospital five days ago.
The former Mayor is currently undergoing chemotherapy after the discovery of tumors on his bladder last October.
That discovery, came just five months after the Councillor had had major surgery to remove a cancerous tumour from his abdomen.
Rob was first diagnosed with the rare form of connective tissue cancer known as pleomorphic liposarcoma in September 2014.
Doug was unable to provide many details on Rob’s current condition, or to confirm whether or not he will undergo further surgery in the future, only to say that they are ”confident that rob is a real fighter and will keep fighting.”
Doug also encouraged to public to keep up it’s show of support for Rob, saying that receiving the messages helps to keep his spirits up, adding that he ‘reads every single card that comes through.”
