A news conference on Monday at police headquarters revealED details involving a 55 year old caught viewing child pornography on a public computer at the Employment and Social Services Centre at Lawrence Square in November.
The incident led to investigators executing a search warrant in North York where they seized evidence which may have been the result of inappropriate contact with students in the past.
The accused Stephen Joseph Schacter was an elementary school teacher for the Eitz Chaim schools between 1986 and 2004, an office administrator at the United Synagogue Day School between 2005 and 2009, and a private tutor from 2009 until 2011.
Schacter is charged with possession of child pornography.
Police believe there are more victims and are urging anyone with information or inappropriate contact to call investigators.
