The suspect known as the “Wigged Bandit” in a number of bank robberies in Toronto and Cobourg is believed to be responsible for the latest incident at a TD branch near Avenue Road and Lawrence Avenue, which took place around 8 p.m. Friday.
According to police, this is the fourth bank that was robbed within the month of February.
The suspect was captured on surveillance video after robbing two banks in Toronto on Thursday, February 11th and on Friday, February 19th. He was also spotted as the suspect wanted for robbing a bank in Cobourg on Thursday, February 25th.
Investigators say that the bank tellers were handed notes that were demanding money and also notifying them that the robber was armed and dangerous.
Police say the suspect is described as a 40-years-old, white male that stands between five foot seven inches and five foot nine inches tall.
