Toronto Community Housing is set to be charged with violations from the provincial fire code related to a blaze in Scarborough.
A press conference featuring Toronto Fire Chief Jim Sales, Deputy Chief Jim Jessop and interim President and CEO of Toronto Community Housing Corporation Greg Spearn will take place at Toronto Fire Services Headquarters, (4330 Dufferin St.) at noon on Wednesday.
It’s expected they will address specific charges pertinent to the deaths of three seniors pulled from the fire at a TCHC building on Neilson Road, north of Sewells Road, on the afternoon of February 5th.
Non criminal charges will be laid against the social housing provider for combustible materials occupying an exit route.
