The province has lowered the fares of the Union Pearson Express as expected.
Transportation minister Steven Del Duca says starting on March 9 the price will drop from $27.50 to $12 for a cash fare or from $19 to $9 for the Presto card fare.
Del Duca says he hopes the price adjustment will help boost ridership.
The price for a family of 2 adults and up to 3 children is $25.
The board of Metrolinx will have to vote on the new fares at a meeting tonight.
