You’ll definitely want to bookmark this page, especially with periods of snow in the forecast over the next week.
As of Tuesday, the City of Toronto has launched “PlowTO” — a website that “displays the real-time location of salters, plows and sidewalk plows” across the city.
The site, which can be accessed here, does not let residents know when, specifically, streets will be reached, although it does allow users to browse which roads have been salted and plowed, and how recently.
If the road was plowed within the last four hours, it will be shown with a green line. If a road was serviced in the last 12 hours, it’ll be coloured by a blue line, and if it was treated between 12 and 24 hours, the road will be displayed with a red line.
After a winter with very little snow thus far, the forecast shows 1-3 centimetres of accumulation possible on Wednesday, followed by scattered flurries later in the week, and perhaps 5-10 centimetres on Monday.
