Tim Hudak, former leader of the Progressive Conservatives wants to change Ontario’s liquor laws. He wants small distillers to be treated the same as craft brewers and wineries.
Hudak notes there are dozens of wineries in his Niagara-area riding legally selling a glass of VQA wine to people who visit for a tour, however, Ontario liquor laws prohibit distillers from selling customers a drink on site, they can sell bottles of their alcoholic products at the on-site store. He wants to see the laws change to increase tourism.
Tim Hudak joins us now to discuss the antiquated laws.
