One of Canada’s worst youth sexual predators, Graham James, has been granted day parole. He’s deemed a ‘manageable risk’ after treatment while in prison.
But how does Canada’s system of ‘treating’ pedophiles work inside our prisons?
One method is the “phallometric assessment”, which consists of showing child sex offenders pornographic images and video of children and literally “measuring their state of sexual arousal”. Possession of such photographs and video is cause for a criminal charge, except in prisons for ‘treatment’.
