A final report on the operations of Toronto Community Housing Corporation is expected to be presented to Mayor John Tory on Tuesday.
A six-person task force was appointed by the Mayor shortly after he took office, tasked with examining the TCHC’s operations with specific attention on partnership and innovation, capital revitalization and new development and governance.
The force, led by Senator Art Eggleton is expected to provide insight into current operation of TCHC and make recommendations to improve the agency.
The reports release follows an interim report which was published last summer and promised short and long-term goals that would benefit those living in community housing.
TCHC looks after 58,500 units in 2,300 buildings across the city and is the largest social housing provider in Canada serving 125,000 people.
