The OPP has confirmed that a 21-year old man has died from his injuries following a very serious crash on the eastbound 403.
Initially, seven people were taken to hospital following the two-vehicle collision in Mississauga, two of them were in critical condition.
The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. Sunday night, forcing the closure of the Eastbound lanes of the highway at at Eglinton Avenue.
There are reports as many as five people were ejected from a vehicle.
There is no word on what may have caused the crash. Eastbound lanes of the 403 were closed at East Gate/Cawthra for a time for the investigation and clean up.
All lanes have since reopened.
