The husband of a Canadian killed in Burkina Faso says it felt good to hang up on the PM who called offering condolences.
Maude Carrier was killed in the Burkina Faso terrorist attacks and when PM Trudeau called to send condolences to her husband Yves Richard he received a frosty response. Feeling frustrated with the Global Affairs Canada’s lack of tact and empathy lead Richard to telling the Pm “to stop politicking” and hung up on him
Does he owe Trudeau an apology? Or was this understandable considering his grief?
