Toronto police say a 22 year old man who was shot in an Etobicoke apartment earlier this week has died in hospital.
Police were called to the apartment in the Lake Shore Boulevard West/11th Street area at around 4 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police say 22-year-old Tevin James let a 20 year-old man into the apartment.
The pair got into a fight and it’s alleged he shot James in the abdomen.
He was rushed to hospital but would later die from his injuries becoming the city’s 5th homicide of the year.
This morning police charged 20 year old Frederick Leon, of Toronto with second degree murder.
He was already facing 35 other charges including Aggravated Assault and Robbery along with 28 firearm- and weapons-related charges and five drug-related charges.
He was scheduled to appear in court today to face the charges.
