The Westin Harbour Castle is going on the market, and it will likely set a record for selling price of a Canadian hotel.
The lakefront hotel is likely to sell for between $350 million and $400 million, due to its size of 3.5 acres and its location at the foot of Yonge Street. There is also potential to construct additional buildings on the site, which is another reason for the enormous price tag. Harbour Castle has 977 rooms, and will go on the market sometime next week.
Does it surprise you that real estate continues to be so expensive despite the slumping Looney?
