As PM Trudeau addresses the World Economic Summit in Switzerland, many are talking about the meeting Canada is NOT invited to. We are currently not at a table of world defence leaders discussing ISIS.
Defence ministers from France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Australia and the Netherlands joined U.S. Secretary of Defence Ashton Carter today to discuss the future of the fight against ISIS. Missing from the conversation is Canada’s Minister of Defence Harjit Sajjan, he did not receive an invitation.
Sajjan will be attending talks organized by Carter on the fringes of a NATO meeting of defence ministers in Brussels on February 11th.
Conservative defence critic, James Bezan says we are being snubbed due to “incoherent messaging” from the Liberals.
