The judge presiding over the trial of a Toronto police officer charged in the death of Sammy Yatim, is expected to complete instructions to jury Wednesday.
Constable James Forcillo is facing charges of second degree murder and attempted murder.
His lawyers have argued Forcillo acted in self defense the night the 18 year old was shot and killed on an empty streetcar. The Crown have maintained Forcillo’s actions were not reasonable, calling him a hothead and bully.
Over the previous few days, the judge has asked the jury to consider all of the evidence with an open mind.
Deliberations are expected to begin by the end of the week.
