A new online resource aims to help Syrian refugees find a better life in Toronto.
WoodGreen Community Services is working with the City of Toronto’s Refugee Resettlement Program to offer housing, jobs, clothing, food, and other necessities provided by generous Canadians.
The website is called H.O.M.E. – Housing Opportunities and Marketplace Exchange.
Mayor John Tory made announcement about the services Saturday at WoodGreen’s Immigrant Settlement Centre.
Some are wondering why the same level of compassion and assistance doesn’t exist for Canada’s many homeless men and women, and its 2,200 war vets that rely on shelters and other services to get by.
