The third Monday of January has come to be known as Blue Monday, or the most depressing day of the year.
Many are feeling the sting as Christmas bills start coming in, resolutions have been broken, it’s cold out and there’s not much sunshine.
However not everyone subscribes to this theory.
Back in 2005, holiday travel company Sky Travel coined the term using an equation which took into account factors such as debt levels and weather conditions, but it was never accepted by the medical community.
For those that do find today to be tough, wellness experts advise some light exercise, wearing bright clothing, taking on a positive attitude and light therapy.
