A repaired and renovated mosque, the center of a hate attack in November, a stop for PM Justin Trudeau Sunday morning.
The place of worship for followers of Islam in Peterborough, was damaged by a firebomb placed in a window on November 14th.
Trudeau attended the open house and denounced what happened. He acknowledge the failed objective from the attackers.
“The opposite happened didn’t it? Your community responded with hope love and compassion” said the Prime Minister
“We will continue to denounce senseless acts of discrimination and we will work hard to make our communities kinder, more open, and more inclusive places to call home.”
Trudeau toured “Masjid al-Salaam”, the city’s only mosque, reopened in late December.
