Concern is growing for a missing Markham woman who has not been seen since the evening of Tuesday January 12th, but police are making some progress in the investigation.
The family of Taneesha Brown say she told them, at about 10:30, she was going outside for some fresh air, but she never came back to the home in the McCowan Road and Castlemore Avenue area.

York Regional Police have now released surveillance video which was obtained from Bur Oak Secondary School, which shows a person, believed to be Taneesha walking and talking with an unknown man.
Police would like to speak with this person, who is not considered to be a suspect.
From there, the woman is seen walking southbound on 16th Avenue.
The Marine unit will be checking the ponds near the school.
She’s described as black, 5’5″, and 122 lbs. She has black shoulder length hair with some pink highlights.
Taneesha was last seen wearing a traditional Muslim outfit; a white, knee-length dashiki, with white pants underneath and a white hijab, along with a black purse.
