Toronto police have issued a warning to residents of an east end neighbourhood, following reports that a coyote was struck by a car in the area.
They are urging those living in the Cabbagetown area to be on the look out for the animal who they say may be seriously injured.
The collision is reported to have happened at around noon on Friday near Carlton Street and Parliament Street, with the animal running away after it was struck.
The warning was issued in a tweet sent out by police shortly after.
Anyone who may have spotted the Coyote is asked to call 51 Division at 416-808-5100.
