Apparently the TTC needs $400 million more to cover contractors’ claims to finish the troubled Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension.
The extension is supposed to cover the western portion of Line 1 by 8.6 kilometers and add six stations from Downsview Station north, through York University, and into Vaughan. Currently the project is more than 80% complete and is expected to be done sometime late 2017 at the earliest.
Should contractors stick to the tendered amount or is it OK to up the price?
