Peel Regional Police are under fire after they open fired on a Ford F-150 pickup truck in Mississauga Monday.
Officers responded to a break-and-enter in progress in a residential area near Hurontario Street and Burnhamthorpe Road at 11:30 a.m.
Three suspects were confronted and arrested at the scene, but a black pickup truck was able to flee the scene.
That’s when cops fired shots at the vehicle during a brief pursuit. The suspect vehicle successfully evaded police.
Nobody was injured during the incident, save a suspect who sustained minor injuries.
Did Peel Police put civilian lives in danger? Did they act irresponsibly by firing shots in a residential neighbourhood?
Some critics on social media are referring to the cops involved as “cowboys”.
