Toronto Police are appealing for the driver of an orange taxi to come forward following the death of a 22 year old old man on the DVP early on Thursday morning.
Police report that the man was in the middle lane of the southbound Don Valley Parkway near the Millwood Road bridge underpass at around 2.50.a.m when he was struck by the orange taxi.
The driver of the cab then pulled over and remained at the scene for around five minutes, however he then left the collision site before police could talk to him.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The south bound lanes of the DVP were closed between Don Mills and Bayview as a result of the investigation between the hours of 3.a.m and 7.a.m on Thursday morning.
Police are now asking the driver of the orange taxi and any witnesses to contact investigators at 416-808-1900 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
