The world’s biggest lottery jackpot ever will be split three ways.
A California Lottery official says that three announced winning tickets in the record $1.6-billion Powerball drawing Wednesday night represent all the grand-prize winners. No more will be forthcoming.
The tickets matching all numbers, 4-8-19-27-34 and Powerball 10, were sold in Florida, Tennessee and Southern California.
One of the winning tickets was sold at a 7-Eleven store in Chino Hills, California. Television footage showed hundreds of people crowding the store and spilling into the parking lot to celebrate the store’s big news.
The winners can opt for annual payments over decades or a lump-sum payment.
The odds of winning were one in 292-million.
