A 55 year old Toronto man has died following a two vehicle collision in Vaughan on Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called to the scene on Highway 27, north of Rutherford Road shortly after 2.30.p.m.
A car and a dump truck were involved in the collision and according to police, fire crews were needed to help free the male driver of the car from his vehicle.
However it was later confirmed by York Regional Police in a tweet that the driver had sadly ”succumbed to his injuries”.
Highway 27 has been shut down between Major Mackenzie Drive to Rutherford Road, with the closure expected to last several hours as police investigate.
