Closing arguments will continue Thursday at the trial of a police officer accused in the 2013 shooting death of Sammy Yatim.
The Crown will begin addressing the jury, after the Defense wrapped up their case Wednesday.
Constable James Forcillo’s lawyer told the jury he had fired the second round of shots at the 18 year old, as a result of “misconceptions,” believing the teen would attack him.
Nine shots were fired at Yatim, while he stood on an empty TTC streetcar with a knife in his hand.
Forcillo has pleaded not guilty to second degree and attempted murder charges.
