Dr. Michael Persinger, a neuroscientist who teaches psychology at Laurentian University, has been pulled out of class over a “Statement of Understanding” that he asked his students to sign at the start of his introductory psychology course.
The agreement asks students to OK his use of things like the F-word, C-word, homophobic slurs and offensive slang for genitalia.
Why, you ask, would he need to use such words in a place of learning?
Dr. Persinger claims that he drops these swear bombs to expose his students to all types of different words. He uses these words to teach his young impressionable minds about the brain’s rational processes.
