A Toronto man is facing charges in connection with a pair of recent robberies. He’s also accused of trying to disarm an officer during his arrest.
Last Saturday, an armed man robbed a bank in the Yonge and Gerrard Streets area, and took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Later that same day, the same man walked into a restaurant in the Yonge and Wellesley Streets area, indicated to staff he was armed with a gun, and took off with the tip jar.
The next day, the suspect was located by officers; it’s alleged he attempted to disarm one of them during his arrest.
27 year old Jesse Iker is facing several charges including robbery, disguise with intent and attempting to disarm an officer.
