Toronto fire crews spent a part of Monday morning battling a 3 alarm blaze.
The flames broke out on the 2nd floor of a home at Jarvis Street near Carlton and quickly spread to the roof.
Fire officials say they had a difficult time putting out the blaze at first as some of the hydrants were frozen.
A full search of the building hasn’t been done yet but officials say the building was vacant and had a “For Lease” sign posted outside.
Jarvis Street remains closed between Carlton and Gerrard.
