The Toronto Eaton Centre will be opening at 7 a.m. and Yorkdale mall will open at 8 a.m. on Boxing Day
Most grocery stores, primarily Sobeys and Loblaws, will also be open and the TTC will operate normally on a holiday schedule with Sunday service, but earlier start times.
GO Transit will be running today, but on a special schedule.
The Toronto Zoo, Ripley’s Aquarium and The Royal Ontario Museum will all be open as well.
However, most banks, post offices, government offices, LCBO and Beer Stores will be closed on Boxing Day.
Some shoppers across Canada say that they feel Boxing Day is losing steam and now falling out of favour, as Black Friday has been gaining more attention and action in recent years.
