Fiat-Chrysler recalling about 476,000 SUVs worldwide to address problems with a potentially combustible vanity mirror.
Jeep Grand Cherokee`s and Dodge Durango`s from the model year 2011-2012 are being recalled for repairs to vanity mirror wiring. The manufacturer saying a small percentage of SUVs experienced overheating events, which could cause a fire hazard.
So far, no injuries or accidents have been reported due to the fault.
It`s the second SUV recall for 2015. Earlier, more than 93,000 Jeep Compass and Patriot SUVs for the model year of 2015 were recalled to fix a clamp may allow power steering fluid to leak. That possible fire hazard has resulted in no injuries or accidents, either.
