A justice of the peace wants to challenge Toronto’s bylaw that people should have to pay the set fine amount on parking tickets.
Patrick Marum told a Scarborough courtroom, that people have to take a day off to deal with parking tickets with little or no law experience, shouldn’t have to pay the full price of the ticket. He also added that unrepresented defendants should have their rights protected, and it is unfair that there is flexibility elsewhere in the province with tickets except Toronto.
Have you fought a parking ticket? Was it worth it?
