We’re just 3 days away from Christmas and temperatures continue to be unseasonable in the GTA.
The first day of winter arrived Monday night at 11:49pm with an unusual 8 degrees.
Many parts of Canada are currently without snow and experiencing mild temperatures.

Only two Ontario Snow Resorts Association venues have runs open, Sir Sam’s Ski & Bike in Haliburton and Horseshoe Resort in Barrie.
November and December have seen the least amount of snow in Toronto history.
Environment Canada says a southerly flow is pushing up from the Gulf of Mexico, resulting in warm temperatures.
“Temperatures are expected to remain above normal leading into Christmas, highs are predicted to be in the teens leading up to Christmas Eve” says DesJanelle Matthews from Environment Canada. “Christmas Eve we potentially could break a record from 1964 by reaching a temperature of 13.”
