An expert panel that is currently advising the provinces on euthanasia has brought the debate into a whole new realm by proclaiming that terminally ill children as young as 12 should be given the right to choose death via a physician’s assistance.
The committee of nine argues that there should be no “arbitrary age limits” for assisted death.
They want eligibility to be tied to maturity and mental competence.
