“Today the wait is over. Beer is here, in grocery stores, just in time for the holidays.”
Premier Kathleen Wynne made history this morning by buying the first 6-pack of beer at an Ontario grocery store since prohibition.
The liberal plan is to have beer 6-packs available at 58 grocery stores by the end of this year, and to have it expanded to 450 stores, large and small, by 2017. Current stores include Sobeys, Metro Ontario, Walmart Canada, among others.
