A dog who had become trapped underneath the rails at Davisville station this afternoon has now been rescued.
The dog was discovered at around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, and led to the suspension of service on part of Line 1 for more than two hours.
Power to the rails was also cut to allow personnel, including a veterinarian, to approach the injured animal.
Trains were turning back for a time at Bloor and Eglinton stations with shuttle buses in operation, but full service has now resumed.
The German Sheppard, whose name is Katie, was alive when she was rescued and has been brought to a veterinary clinic for treatment.
