Police are appealing for the public’s help in identifying a woman wanted in connection with an alleged assault on a woman wearing a hijab in the Scarborough Town Centre Area last week.
According to the police, the victim was on an LRT train on Thursday December 10th at around 3.p.m. when another female passenger pulled on the girl’s hijab and kicked her.
The suspect then began yelling profanities at the girl.
The abuse continued when both parties left the LRT and went to a bus platform where the unknown women made racist comments on the girl’s attire.
The suspect is described as being aged between 20-30 years old, 5’5″ tall, with shoulder-length dark hair.
She was wearing dark-framed prescription glasses, a blue bomber-style winter jacket, skinny jeans, and black shoes. She was also carrying a beige purse.
