What a difference a year makes.
While it might not be shorts and t shirt weather, the mercury today reached 14 degrees Celsius at Pearson Airport according to Environment Canada, meaning that a new record has been set for the highest temperature on December 11th.
The record was reached shortly after noon and beats the previous record of 13.2 degrees Celsius recorded on this day in 1979.
The mild weather is also set to continue with temperatures of between 8 and 12 degrees Celsius expected over the weekend and into Monday, however, forecasters say that conditions will turn a little cooler as of Tuesday with flurries a possibility on Thursday.
