A press conference is set to take place on Friday morning when Toronto police are due to provide an update on an investigation into luxury vehicle trafficking.
According to Toronto police, 175 police officers were involved in executing more than 35 warrants in the GTA on Thursday as part of ”Project CBG”.
The warrants were executed in relation to an ongoing criminal investigation which targeted an alleged criminal organization believed to be involved in the trafficking and distribution of high-value stolen vehicles from Canada to Ghana and Nigeria.
The investigation was conducted by the Toronto Police Service, with the assistance of Halton Regional Police Service, Peel Regional Police, York Regional Police, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Canadian National Police, Canada Border Services Agency, the Insurance Bureau of Canada and the United States Department of Homeland Security.
The press conference is scheduled to take place at 11.a.m
